Science Technology Engineering Preview Summer camp for young women (50 students) motivates and inspires young women to pursue careers in science and engineering. We provide a fun, structured, teamwork-based environment that emphasizes hands-on investigation of the important role that biological and physical systems play in shaping future technologies aimed at benefiting society.
One of the activities involves manufacturing a solar-powered robot. For the second year, we have purchased Solar Bugs from Pagermotors.com. We have found these kits to be reliable and easy for 10th grade young women to assemble. The kits require soldering, which all of the campers enjoy. The easy to follow instructions make assembly a breeze. - Karl Mueller, Camp Coordinator

Everyone (25 club members) enjoyed your tutorial - very very thorough. Everyone was pleased with the kits and most people even got bots that worked! Pretty good considering this is the first time some of them have ever soldered - Jake Ingram, President of ISURC
